Golf Tee Times in Nashville, Tennessee

Dwight Hanson

by Q: What tees should I play from.....

Q: I am a fair golfer, about an 8 handicap I guess. I just played a course where I shot an 82 and my longest approach into a green was with a 7 iron, and I only hit driver two or three times. I've always thought I shouldn't move back to the back tees until I could shoot par from the blues. It seems that I will never get better with my driver or mid-long irons until I use them regularly on the course. What do you think?   - Anonymous

A: I don't think that shooting par from more forward tees should be a requirement to move to the tips. Try playing a different set of tees everytime you play. Not only will you be able to work on using all of the clubs in your bag, but you will have more fun as well.
